We Are MOVING

Starting on January 1, 2025 we will be practicing out of our new location at

8555 West Forest Home Avenue
Greenfield, Wisconsin 53220
(Click the Moving Truck above for a map.)

Our new location is quiet with easy access to major thoroughfares and ample parking.

Welcome

Radiant Healing is a massage practice that emphasizes whole-body wellness and healing. Our experienced therapists provide personalized care to help you achieve physical and mental balance.  We offer a wide range of massage therapies tailored to clients of all ages and genders.  Treat yourself to a soothing massage session and let us guide you on your journey to relaxation and rejuvenation.

Our Practice

We offer a holistic approach to massage therapy in three modalities: Therapeutic (Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Stretching), Relaxation (Swedish massage and Reiki), and Wellness techniques using therapeutic-grade essential oils.

Discover the power of Warm Basalt Stones that we use in all sessions to warm and loosen tight and painful muscle tissue, promoting deeper release and increasing circulation.

Anxiety and Depression

At Radiant Healing Massage in Greendale, we offer effective relief for anxiety and depression.  Our skilled therapists use specialized techniques to reduce the stress hormone cortisol, leaving you with lifted spirits and often lower blood pressure.  With the power to boost serotonin and dopamine, massage therapy offers a natural approach to improving your mental well-being, without the need for medications.

Reduce Headaches

Many headaches are caused by excessive muscle tension, so it stands to reason that reducing that muscle tension will reduce the headache.  It’s true, and studies show that the relief can be long-lasting, especially when combined with other relaxation techniques such as meditation.

The secondary benefits of Massage Therapy for Stress Reduction are also beneficial for ailments that seem unrelated, such as lower back pain, jaw pain, insomnia, and arthritis.

Reduce Back Pain

This is the big one in our practice.  8 out of 10 Americans experience debilitating back pain and, according to this 2011 study reported by TIME.com, massage helped people in pain feel better and function better.

“We found the benefits of massage are about as strong as those reported for other effective treatments: medications, acupuncture, exercise and yoga,” Dan Cherkin, Ph.D., lead author of the study, said in a press release.

Boost Immunity

Studies have linked massage to better functioning of the immune system.  In THIS 2010 study, researchers found massage increased a person’s disease-fighting white blood cells.  The stress-reducing powers of massage can also help keep you healthy.

Improve Your Sleep

Sleep deprivation is the insidious thief of many people’s lives.  Lack of sleep accounts for many workplace and traffic accidents, poor judgement, and diminished critical thinking in professions that demand a sharp mind.

Studies examining the link between massage and enhanced sleep effectiveness have concluded that, among other things, the effect on delta waves promotes this nourishing result.

Our Safety Practices

To ensure the health and safety of our staff, as well as all the clients in the studio, we are requiring the following:

  • If you are not feeling well or have a temperature in excess of 99°F, please cancel your appointment before the 24 hour notice or as soon as symptoms arise.
  • You have the option to mask during your session.  If you request that your therapist do so, they will mask as well.

We reserve the right to discontinue service with any client who appears to be exhibiting symptoms of illness before or during a session.  We respect how you may feel about this and other measures we are taking.  Our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy.  We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation while we navigate this together.

About Radiant Healing Massage

Why Massage?

No matter how much you enjoy what you do, there are still stresses in everyday life that take a toll on your mind and body.  Massage Therapy can help reverse the damage done by this stress, and do it drug-free.  Massage does more than just relax your mind and relieve tired muscles; it restores function and allows you to do more without NSAIDs or other medications.

At Radiant Healing Massage, you can expect a warm greeting, a comfortable environment, and a customized session focused on your immediate needs.  Prior to the session, we’ll discuss your current health conditions, areas of stress and pain, and concerns you may have so that you can receive the maximum benefit every time.  Check out our various practice modalities here.

Who We Are

Massage is our passion.  Caring is our specialty.  Our team is here to serve your massage needs every day from 8:00am until 9:00pm.  Think of a time when you did not feel welcome somewhere.  You will never feel that here at Radiant Healing.  We hold ourselves to a standard that is inclusive of everyone who walks through our door, and there are no barriers to anyone based on sexual orientation, gender identity, race, color, or physical characteristics.  Some refer to this as being LGBTQ-Friendly.  We are, and we also call it HUMAN-Friendly.

Any suggestions or treatment that we may give you are based solely, in our professional opinion, on what serves your needs best.  We encourage dialogue between you, the client, and us, the practitioners.  We will explain everything about our treatment process and why we suggest a course of therapy or treat your body in a specific way.  So come on in and let us serve you in a way that does your mind and body good, and makes your day-to-day life a little easier.

How We Do It

It’s rare that a company talks about their behind-the-scenes operations, either because it would be boring to customers, or they want to protect trade secrets.  We think there are certain things that you should know about our operations and how it can impact your well-being.

We use free and clear laundry products to wash, sanitize, and dry all of our practice linens, which includes massage table sheets, face cradle covers, towels, and other items.  Anything that may contact bare skin is carefully handled using hypoallergenic soaps, cleaners, and treatments.

All of our therapeutic products such as massage oils, creams, and lotions are also natural, hypoallergenic, and pure.  When we use essential oils for therapy, they are always 100% therapeutic grade.

Your safety and comfort, and that of our therapist team, is always our highest concern.  You can rely on us to keep your best interests at heart.  If you should ever have any questions about our products, procedures, or facility, please talk to us.

About the Radiant Healing Staff

Lara Pfeffer, LMT, Owner

Lara Pfeffer, LMT, Owner

I am a 1994 graduate of Blue Sky Massage School.  With over 30 years doing my favorite job ever (massage), I am proud to represent my company where we are privileged to serve our clients in a friendly, supportive, and compassionate atmosphere.  It’s my goal that every therapist on staff, while having their own gifts and talents for bodywork, embody our motto: “Massage is our passion, caring is our specialty.”

I mentor, coach, teach and inspire my diverse staff of kind, talented and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist practitioners.  While I am no longer accepting new clients, I do mentor LMTs on how to powerfully be in the practice; whether that’s as an employee or a (possibly new) business owner. Check out my YouTube Channel for more details.

In the past, my practice has included intuitive bodywork woven into a combination of Neuromuscular Therapy, Prenatal/Postnatal, Swedish flow, Myofascial Release, as well as Reiki holistic healing sessions.  In my free time I enjoy my kids and grandkids, being outdoors hiking/biking with friends, and traveling the world.

Are you a therapist looking for your next opportunity?  Check out our careers HERE.

Aissa, LMT

Originally from the Chicagoland area, I studied classical voice before discovering my passion for massage therapy.  I graduated from the Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy in 2015 and have spent the years since working alongside chiropractors, physical therapists, and acupuncturists to hone my skills.  I specialize in therapeutic and deep tissue massage, focusing on pain relief and whole-body healing.  My husband Eric, our cat Suzy, and I moved to Milwaukee in August 2022.

Jennifer, LMT

I graduated in 2014 from Milwaukee’s Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness Massage Program.  I consider myself a seasoned professional in therapeutic massage, having embarked on my health and wellness journey over two decades ago at Aveda’s Institute of Beauty and Wellness.  Initially licensed as a manicurist, my extensive experience in salons and spas transcended nail care, fostering a holistic understanding of the human body.

Recognizing the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit, I evolved into a licensed massage therapist.  I passionately view people as individuals, focusing on the intrinsic unity of their experience.  Proficient in reflexology and adept at discovering latent muscle groups, I offer comprehensive treatments that go beyond conventional massage techniques.

Lonna, LMT

With 12 years of experience as a massage therapist, I started my journey in healing therapies at Anthem College of Massage in Brookfield, Wisconsin.  My passion lies in helping people heal from stress, injury, overuse, and chronic tension.  When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my two wonderful kids and being with family.

In my free time, you can find me roller skating (I competed in State Championships in the youth division for my sport) or exploring new ways to improve my craft.  I am dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to all of my clients and am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

Amy, LMT

I graduated from Blue Sky Massage School in 1991 and have spent 33 years as a dedicated Massage Therapist, addressing a wide range of therapeutic needs.  My approach emphasizes attentive listening and intuitive tuning into my clients' bodies to relieve tension effectively.  Outside of my practice, I love playing guitar, doing yoga, and staying active in nature.  My passion for healing drives me to provide the best care possible, and I find joy in making a positive impact on my clients' lives.

Colleen, LMT

I graduated from the Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy in Germantown in 2008 and have dedicated my career to providing exceptional therapeutic care.  My approach emphasizes treating every client like gold, working as their committed partner in healing.

I love tracking my clients’ progress and witnessing their transformative journey from pain to greater mobility.  Outside of my practice, I enjoy reading, playing with my two dogs and three cats, and watching vintage 1930’s movies with my husband.  My passion is helping people move through life with more ease and comfort.

The designation LMT stands for Licensed Massage Therapist.  All of our practitioners are licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.

Our Practice Modalities

Swedish Massage
A partial or full body massage with light to moderate pressure using smooth gliding strokes.  This classic stress-relieving massage promotes relaxation, eases muscle tension, and creates other health benefits.  Session includes the use of hot basalt stones and aromatherapy.
Therapeutic Massage
This partial or full body massage with moderate to deep pressure targets specific painful areas, injured muscles, or fascia.  Myofascial Release is used on connective tissue to increase circulation, release tension, and unwind trauma in the body.  Trigger-point and neuromuscular therapy techniques are also used to increase flexibility and mobility to muscles and joints.  Session includes the use of hot basalt stones and aromatherapy.
Deep Tissue Massage
Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is not always deep pressure.  A variety of effective techniques are used to relieve both muscles and the connective tissue below the surface.  It also helps to improve range of motion, bring in blood flow, ease inflammation and heal injuries.  The session includes the use of hot basalt stones and aromatherapy.
Sports Massage
This style of massage uses a variety of techniques on specific muscles and their attachment points.  It is designed to help your body become more flexible and to promote healing.  It is particularly great for those with active lifestyles.  Session includes the use of hot basalt stones and aromatherapy.
Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic massage addresses the lymphatic system, an important part of the immune system.  This treatment uses very light, slow, rhythmic movements to increase flow of lymphatic fluid along the lymphatic channels through the entire body.  It is highly effective in reducing inflammation, especially after surgery or trauma, such as a sports injury.  It can also help stimulate the immune response when recovering from an illness or when struggling with seasonal changes.

Lymphatic treatments can be helpful when treating inflammation, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and Lyme disease.  Our intention is to gently encourage healthy lymph flow in otherwise healthy clients.  We are not certified in lymphatic drainage for cancer, BBL or plastic surgery procedures.  If you are currently under a doctor’s care, please first consult your provider for guidance or referral to a practitioner suitable to your medical needs.

Pre-Natal Massage
Every expectant client deserves this comfort monthly throughout their pregnancy, and our prenatal massage sessions are the best.  The benefits include relief of aches and pains, decreased leg swelling, and comfort during the physical and emotional stress of pregnancy.  To keep both the client and baby safe and comfortable, we use a specialized pregnancy table which allows the client to lie face-down, plus many pillows for side-lying positions.
Reiki
The practice of Reiki is defined as universal or higher power (Rei) and life-force energy (Ki).  Reiki is a natural Japanese healing technique that is administered by placing hands lightly on or slightly above the client’s body, while the client is lying comfortably fully clothed on the massage table.  This modality treats the whole person including physical, emotional and mental, creating beneficial effects that include deep relaxation and feelings of peace, balance and well-being.  Includes aromatherapy.

"I have been getting massages around town for 30 years....

… and I have to say, this was one of the best I’ve ever had. This is NO ‘cookie cutter’ salon. I had Lara as my MT and she was very thorough. She explained why they include the basalt stones in their massages (I’ll let you go and find out for yourself) as well as her background and training. You can also upgrade and get an essential oil, of your choice, added to their lotion (which is rich and creamy) for an extra “boost” to your experience. I was lucky enough to meet a few of the staff and I am excited for my next appointment! This is a quant place located in historic downtown Greendale (they also have a location downtown). They are very accommodating with schedules and match you with the right therapist for what you need. Treat your body to a GREAT massage and relax the way we need to, so that we can continue our hectic lives, you wont be disappointed!

"Love the location! The studio is very clean...

…and has a very welcoming decor.  I felt extremely comfortable with their COVID readiness.  The therapy room itself was exceptionally relaxing and set the perfect environment for a wonderfully relaxing session.  This was my first appointment with Kayla.  She was absolutely fantastic!  I had serious knots in my upper back and shoulders.  I am used to very forceful deep tissue massage to address these trigger points.  Kayla addressed them perfectly!  She was able to identify and isolate the knots, then took the time and effort necessary to get them to release.  She does a wonderful job identifying trigger points and focuses on those areas, getting them to release.  I came in tense with serious pain in the neck and shoulders and left feeling great!  I will definitely be booking with her again!”

Joel, Franklin
